TASTING TESTRed fruits, medium structure with balanced tannins. Freshness and good persistence
JUSTIN LEONE TASTING TESTSuper fresh, lively, zippy acidity. Puffy tannins; almost like great Barbera. Red Fruit is so bright; acidic red cherries, fresh raspberries. Thyme and even a little verbena. Despite the sheer power of the 09 vintage, this wine reels back on its calcerous-soil heels, and manages to be insanely light on its feet. Can do well with a year or two in bottle, but depends what you're looking for, and how you like to drink these wines. For a whole grilled stuffed fish with herbs, this would Rock. Mussels, a-la-Provençal, in a rich tomato broth? Home run. This is a beautiful wine, which does not pretend to be anything it is not. A terrific showing.
